Irish Winter Storm #2 Barney Hits Shore

In September this year, the Met Office in the UK and Met Eireann In Ireland announced a joint pilot project where they asked the public to name potential storms forming for winter 2015/16 with the aim of raising awareness of the storms.

After thousands of responses the public suggested the following names for this winters storms in order as they occur in the Atlantic; Abigail, Barney, Clodagh, Desmond, Eva, Frank, Gertrude, Henry, Imogen, Jake, Katie, Lawrence, Mary, Nigel, Orla, Phil, Rhonda, Steve, Tegan, Vernon and Wendy.

Lets hope Clodagh takes her time getting here.
