We Banjo 3 return to Capitol Hill

Galway Band We Banjo 3 made a return to Capitol Hill today to perform at the office of Congressman Joseph Crowley. Congressman Crowley, whose mother is from Co. Armagh, is a big fan of the band and gave the lads a very rare personal tour of Capitol Hill. As the representative of Queens in New York, the Congressman is known for his vast knowledge of Irish history, his work for Irish communities, and as a seasoned singer and songwriter himself, Joe is a great advocate for Irish musicians in America.
The visit was organised by Co. Down native Claire Rumpsa of the Washington Ireland Program (WIP), in conjunction with Culture Ireland and Claire Fitzgibbon of the Irish Embassy in DC.
