Hotel Doolin’s status as one of Ireland’s leading sustainable hotels has been further boosted with the news that it has been named among the principal category winners in the Irish Hospitality Management Awards at The DoubleTree by Hilton, Dublin.
Hosted by the Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI), the awards are regarded as the most prestigious honours in the hospitality industry.

Raquel Noboa of Hotel Doolin has been named Hospitality Manager of the Year 2015 in the EPA-sponsored ‘Environmental’ category beating off competition from hotels throughout the country.
Raquel joined Hotel Doolin in July 2012 and became the Hotel’s Sales & Marketing Manager in 2015. She currently represents and markets the Hotel in all events, trade shows and meetings. She achieved the Green Hospitality Platinum Award in 2013; the Green Hospitality Member of the Year for Water Conservation in 2013; the Green Hospitality Member of the Year in 2014; the Green Hospitality Award in Green Procurement in 2014 and the Tourism & Entertainment Award at the end of 2014.
Congratulating Raquel, Donal Minihane, General Manager, Hotel Doolin, said, “We are delighted that Raquel has won this prestigious award which demonstrates the leadership role played by Hotel Doolin staff in developing a ground-up approach to promoting sustainable business practices.”

Earlier this year, Hotel Doolin also was named overall winner of the Green Tourism and Entertainment Award. The hotel was also shortlisted in the Green Business of the Year Category, alongside Google and Coca-Cola.
